TALLEST SKYSCRAPERS IN THE WORLD TALLEST

The last row on this list is occupied by the CITIC Plaza, a skyscraper, which is located in Guangzhou, China. The building, completed in 1996, is currently used as offices. It has 80 floors and was the tallest building in Asia when it was built.

In the district of Dubai Marina, in the United Arab Emirates, is located at 23 Marina, is the 3rd tallest skyscraper in Dubai. This 90-story skyscraper, completed in 2012, now houses 289 apartments and has 8 ski lifts. This building has 57 swimming pools. The tower duplexes are equipped with a private elevator. There are 291 apartments in total in this tower.

This building is located in the central district of Hong Kong in China. It is the second tallest building in the city behind the International Commerce Center (which we will see in this ranking) and which is located opposite to Victoria Bay. Completed in 2003, this building is one of the few in the world to be equipped with two-story elevators. It houses offices and has 88 floors officially, but unofficially there would be more: indeed, some numbers are not written on the doors for cultural reasons. This building is nicknamed "the razor" compared to its summit. The scaffolding is constructed from bamboo trunk: this material is known to be resistant and light. It is part of a group of buildings called the "International Finance Center", a real estate project. In this project, there is the "One International Finance Center" which looks like the Two International Finance Center, except that it is half the size. In the photo below, the light building exceeds its neighbors.

Al Hamra Tower, located in the city of Kuwait, is a skyscraper that has a unique shape. It pays tribute to innovations in architecture and engineering. Completed in 2011, it consists of 80 floors accessible to the public above the ground and 3 underground floors.

Located in Dubai (in the Dubai Marina), this huge skyscraper is used for residential use. The structure is made up of various apartments (at least two bedrooms), a penthouse apartment at the top and double villas. Designed by engineer Adnan Saffarini, it was inaugurated in 2012. In the Pudong district of the city of Shanghai in China, is the Jin Mao tower. This skyscraper, inaugurated in 1999, houses offices on its first 50 floors, and on the 38 upper floors is one of the tallest hotels (Grand Hyatt Shanghai Hotel) in the world, with 5 stars, 555 rooms, one fitness room and dining room. This building was designed by the American architectural firm: Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.

Its inauguration was made in 1998. The tower has 88 floors, but this figure is not due to chance: for the Chinese the number 8 symbolizes prosperity and money.

The speed of the elevators is 9 meters per second: thus, in 50 seconds a visitor can reach the top floor from the ground floor.

A glass roof located on the top floor offers a view of the hotel lobby, located around thirty floors below, and of the galleries which provide access to the rooms. The most violent types of earthquakes and cyclones have been analyzed on their impact on buildings, and this tower has therefore been designed to withstand this kind of extreme climatic conditions.
